I Feel The Need, The Need For Speed

My name is Steven. Although depending on the friends I am with at the time I could also be called 'Perry' but explaining that one would involve a rather boring story so I shan't bother.

I graduated from the fine educational establishment that is the University of Salford with a degree in Leisure Management. Not sure why I chose that particular degree but a degree is a degree and if anything at least it pads out the CV a bit.

I currently work for a transport company ensuring that people get their beer deliveries, so I am an addition to that statistic of graduates doing jobs that have nothing to do with their degrees whatsoever, although I could argue that drinking is a part of leisure and I manage people getting their 'leisure', but that would be pompous of me so I won't.

The Wolfman

Second film review for me and this one is a damn sight easier than reviewing ‘The Lovely Bones’. The sole reason for this is that the film is god damn awful.

I can’t recall being so bored watching a film for some time and that is saying something as I have watched some amount of tripe in the cinema courtesy of having the unlimited cinema card and wanting to make use of it.

I can’t really find much to like about this film. The werewolf transformation has been done better, just see ‘Teen Wolf’, ‘An American Werewolf In Paris’ or even the ‘Thriller’ video. The werewolf itself looks pretty damn awful and with a very hairy Benicio Del Toro playing the Wolfman then surely they could have used a ‘less is more’ approach to the transformation and at least tried soemthing new.

The plot just plods along with no great sense of urgency and just fills the time between the full moons with a great load of boring nothingness.

I wish I hadn’t seen the film really and wasted my time, especially as I had just received UP on Blu Ray and still havent got round to watching it yet.

So there you have it, Wolfman is a terrible film, pretty lousy effects, pretty bad acting and to top it all off it prevented me watching UP again. I could be all sensible about this and do the usual review thing of giving it at least 1/5 but screw that, it doesnt deserve the 1 so goes down as 0/5. Watch ‘Teen Wolf’ instead if you want a werewolf movie.
